Custom Dakota Model 97 Hunter .375 H&H Magnum. Serial “Africa 375” has a 26-inch sporter barrel (.640-inch muzzle diameter, banded front sight with skeleton hood and red fiber optic bead, express rear sight on scalloped island). Features include a desert tan Cerakote finish, full-length extractor for true controlled round feeding and extraction, three-position safety and a cloverleaf tang. STOCK: The premium synthetic stock beds the action on aluminum pillars and is glassed from the rear guard screw to just forward of the lug. Appointments include inletted sling swivel studs with timed screws and a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. No box or papers. CAPACITY: Four rounds (three plus one). The extractor “snaps over” rounds dropped into the chamber. Feeding/extraction/ejection are positive and smooth. OPTIC: A Leupold VX-6HD 2-12x42 with an illuminated FireDot Duplex reticle is secured in Talley quick detaching mounts. The CDS dial is for a 270-grain Swift A-Frame bullet at 2825 FPS. Aluminum lens covers are included. The optic is clear, lens coatings are unmolested and illumination functions properly. DIMENSIONS: Weight (with optic) is 9.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 14.0 inches. CONDITION: The bore is flawless. The trigger breaks crisp. Metal finish is well over 95 percent with a few light rubs. Stock finish is 99 percent. PURCHASING OPTION: The rifle may be purchased for $5,250 plus shipping ($750 discount) without the optic.
