Serial #NSN, .40 Caliber black powder percussion, 38 inch rifled, octagon barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is a modern, custom made Flintlock rifle that is marked on the top barrel flat "No 49 S R Blackstone" and features beautiful Tiger Stripe Maple wood stock and an ivory button release for the patch box with double set triggers. In excellent condition the barrel retains about 96-98% of the brown finish with some loss at the action. The lock and hammer show beautiful case-hardened colors and the brass furniture is bright and excellent. The stock shows beautiful striped grain patterns and has a gloss varnish showing some scattered surface level marks and contusions. The action functions properly holding at half and full cock with a sensitive crisp trigger pull. It has the original brass tipped wood ramrod. An extremely well made gun showing master craftsmanship.
