Description:
THIRD REICH World War II “fnh” Code GERMAN OCCUPIED Czech CZ M27 Pistol C&R

 “Eagle/Swastika” Proofed Czechoslovakian SEMI-AUTO

Here we present a C&R Third Reich German CZ vz. 27 Semi-automatic Pistol, made circa 1942 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. In 1938, Hitler’s Germany formally occupied the northern and western sections of Czechoslovakia encompassing the Czech border defenses in these areas. The occupation grew from there into 1939 until all of Czechoslovakia was partitioned and basically ceased to exist. The German occupation would last until the final days of World War II in 1945 when they were liberated by the Soviet Union.
The Model 27 was adopted by the Third Reich upon their seizure of ?eská zbrojovka after their invasion and occupation in 1939. Many of these semi-automatic, .32 ACP/7.65mm blowback pistols were manufactured until the end of the war, becoming somewhat less finished toward the end in an attempt to save on cost, time and resources. The machining marks grew more visible, and the blue applied to the earlier guns was changed to a phosphate finish. Many of these were put in the hands of officers and police during World War II.

This specimen is marked “Pistole Modell 27/Kal.7.65” on the left side of the slide and the “WaA76” and “Eagle/Swastika” Third Reich German acceptance marks.

The overall condition is good. Deep gray patina. The action is strong. Shiny bright bore with sharp rifling. Markings are crisp. The grip is solid and contains only a light amount of wear. Visible numbers match.
