Description:
This Yugoslavian Mauser is most commonly known as the Zastava M98/48, however in reality most of these rifles were either captured German K98 rifles or left over production parts from wartime production factories, all of which were scrubbed of their German markings and re marked with Yugoslavian markings instead. The only difference from the K98 aside from the markings was the front barrel band. Overall condition of this example is good, although most of the metal finish has been worn away, there is in significant damage externally and the rifle maintains good mechanical function. The bore however, appears corroded from use of corrosive ammunition. It must also be noted that the bolt number does not match the receiver, so headspace should be checked before use.
