Sometime in its past, Converted from .22 to 38 Special.
Very early (solid frame). Nice condition for its age, (130ish years)
Rifling is new, and looks perfect.
Chamber is a bit oversized but shootable.
I have test fired it with Cowboy loads and light weight lead bullets.
The #4 action was originally designed for rimfire ammo.
As with any Antique firearm, for your own piece of mind, you should have it checked by your gunsmith.
