Description:
General Specs: Beretta, 1992, 28 Gauge, 6lbs. 5oz., Chokes SK/SK, LOP 14 3/8", DAH 2 1/2", DAC 1 7/16"
Serial Number:  L10151B

The Beretta 687 is a well-known action that has been used by Beretta in their field guns and clay target guns for decades.  It is a very attractive action as it is shallow, and a very strong action that is up for the rigors of competitive clay target games and high-volume shooting like doves in Argentina. This is because it is built on a receiver that is equally strong and low-profile. The 687 action has two conical locking lugs at mid-height, meaning that it will always lock up strongly and positively while not requiring the extra bulk and weight for a top locking lever. This further means that when you bring it up to the shoulder, the vertical distance between your eye and your supporting hand is minimized: this shotgun will follow your sight easily and instinctively. The Beretta 687 has a scaled baby frame designed specifically for their tiny 28 and .410 bored shotguns; most other makers have 20ga. frames with 28ga. barrels on the larger action! With this properly scaled action this gun weighs just 6lbs. 5oz. making this ‘Extra Lusso’ or ‘Extra Luxury’ an easy to carry sporting gun on all your upland pursuits. This 687EL was manufactured in 1992 and is serial number L10151B. The gun is in 99% condition, with barrels retaining 99% factory blue and a mirror bore. The action shows 99% Coin finish with game scenes and scroll all sides and nicely contrasting blued trigger bow, and Single Select trigger.  The mechanics are perfect, with crisp trigger pulls and strong well-timed ejectors. The lever sits Right of Center; the gun locks up tight. The gun is fitted with Beretta screw-in chokes for maximum versatility; this example is supplied with SK/SK, other chokes are readily available. The stock is nicely figured on both sides and is finished with a factory serrated wood buttplate, wood and metal fit is superb, there are some light handling marks on the furniture. This is a dynamic gun ready for all your upland and clay target sports. It is not easy to find these fine little Beretta baby-framed 28ga in this high condition and we have priced this gun to sell, so don’t hesitate or it will be gone!
