Description:

Rare Engraved Wilson & Co. Back Action Percussion Blunderbuss with Folding Snap Bayonet
Offered here is a scarce and beautifully engraved Wilson & Co. percussion blunderbuss—a standout example from the percussion era, which is notably rarer than its flintlock predecessors.
This impressive piece features an approximately 14-bore, two-stage brass barrel that flares to a 1.3-inch muzzle, adorned with elegant scroll engraving and marked “Liverpool” along the top. A folding snap bayonet adds both character and function, locking firmly into place with a strong spring.
The back action lock is engraved “WILSON & CO.”and showcases detailed scrollwork, which is echoed in the engraved brass furniture. The walnut stock has a finely checkered wrist, adding both style and grip.
Mechanically excellent, this blunderbuss has a strong action and solid safety notch. While there is some age-related cracking in the wood on the left side, the stock remains tight and secure.
Antique arms of this caliber and condition are not often offered—a truly unique and eye-catching piece that would display beautifully in any collection of early military, maritime, or coach defense firearms.

This is an Antique and will ship directly to you. I accept credit cards for a 3.5% added fee.
