Browning Collectors - All original parts to a previous restoration
This Browning A5 Sweet Sixteen was mfg abt 1955, Serial No. S 36385, in the poplular "Round Knob"
version. Which was only available till the early sixties. It is an earlier restoration and is abt as LNIB condition
as it gets for this period. The gun bluing is about 98-99 % w/all Grade I engraving, incuding all of the detailing.
The Belgium Walnut is in the subtle tones of a reddish blend & stands out in these earlier "Belgium Brownings".
The Belgium Walnut is abt 96-98% for both the Buttstock & the Forearm,
The receiver is flawless w/fine engraving and is set off w/a fine "Gold Trigger". The action is crisp & cycles
normally. The ventilated Rib Barrel is a 28 inch *(FC)w/a mirror glean to it.
This Browning A5 Sweet Sixteen would rate according to "NRA Standards" as an "NRA Excellent".
(This would be, to me, a fine example of collector piece for the discerning Browning Collector.)
