Description:
Serial #1270334, .30-06, 24" Star-Gauged barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1925-made rifle that retains 95-97% of the original blue finish with some mild silvering at the muzzle, on the high edges and projections, as well as along the contact points of the bolt. The bolt itself is correct, but unnumbered, and has an overall dull gray patina with some spots of dark speckling on the handle and knob. The rifle is equipped with the correct standard ‘03 front sight blade and Lyman 48C rear aperture sight, with additional drilled and tapped scope ring holes (1/2") on the top of the receiver and bridge. The walnut stock has some mild handling marks scattered about the original oil finish, while the correct checkered steel buttplate retains nearly all of the original blue. This is a splendid example of a Model 1903 NRA Sporter, and is in excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R;
