This Mauser war time rifle was produced in 1943. The rifle's serial number is 6744. The ce code stands for J.P. Sauer as the manufacture of this 98k Rifle. this rifle is all matched serial numbers. This also includes the bolt. This rifle is not a duffle bag cut rifle or has any Import stamps. The bore is in very fine condition with a bright bore. The action works fine with no issues. This rifle does show light service use and wear. There is no sign of abuse or rough handling. The original faded bluing would rate a 80% or better condition. The front sight hood is intact. The stock and forend is correctly made by laminated stock blanks. There is no issues or damage to the stock and forend. The original leather sling is in fine serviceable condition. This is a very nice all original Model 98k rifle that would appeal to the military collector.
