Description:
For sale is an M1 Garand rifle built on a Federal Ordnance Inc. (Fed Ord) commercial receiver, serial number 840xxx, produced in the 1980s. This rifle was assembled using a mix of U.S. military surplus GI parts and commercial components.
The rifle is chambered in .30-06 Springfield and remains in solid mechanical condition, making it an excellent shooter-grade Garand. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Metal finish is in good condition with normal signs of handling and age.
Fed Ord rifles were assembled during the post-service era using imported or surplus U.S. parts on newly manufactured commercial receivers. This example features a cast receiver paired with likely GI internals — including the bolt, trigger group, op rod, and gas system.
