Description:
Here we present a very nice original Winchester Model 52 Target rifle chambered in .22LR. The low serial number, 4392, indicates production in 1926. The rifle is in overall Very Good - Excellent condition, especially considering it is almost 100 years old. The 28" heavy barrel has a beautiful shiny bore with very strong rifling. It is equipped with the original target sights, a fully adjustable rear peep sight and globe front sight (Rear sight is marked on side: REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. and on top: PAT. JULY 11 - 1911; Front sight is marked: U.S. PAT. NO. 1.901.399). I would rate the original bluing at about 95% with just a few light scratches and a few spots of light wear. The stock is in great shape as well with just a few very light abrasions. The rifle has a very crisp trigger pull at just under 1.5lbs. The original 5rd magazine is marked: MADE IN USA / WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK / PAT. NOV. 25, 1919. The rifle is mechanically excellent and is also equipped with a vintage leather sling marked: WOL / J.J.R. This is a fine example of an early production Model 52 that would make an excellent addition to any collection. Feel free to call or text with any questions or for more pictures.
