Description:
Manufactured c. 1874-1888. Features a "pinched" blade front sight, rear sight frame with the 2 two-leaves missing , “U” on the right side of the barrel band, saddle ring on the left side of the action, and "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A." and the two lines of patent dates ending in 1874 on the upper tang. A small cross on the right side of the stock may be a Native American mark. (According to a well studied expert friend of mine, and he has a book that shows such a mark.) Mechanically gun is good, it has had the metal re-blued. Forearm and stock have oil finish.  My micrometer measures the bore at .45 inches. It chambers a .45-60 cartridge. Bore is clean and show very strong rifling.
Other items are not included. see RJT#454belt
