Description:
This is the standard infantry version of the Imperial German Seutebgewehr M1871 Bayonet. This example was manufactured by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie., Solingen. The 18 1/2" unsharpened blade is in very good condition with the ricasso marked " Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie., Solingen" and blank on the revere, slight mottling on finish with a few signs of use. The steel crossguard with muzzle-ring and finial, quillion and finial, have a similar patina as the blade. The brass hilt with oblique grooves on the right side, left side plain. Brass is in excellence condition with minor marks. This example has no scabbard. Please see photo's for fine detail.;
