Unless otherwise stated, our guns are not test fired as we have no facility for that. We inspect the firearm and it's action to see if everything appears functional but they are sold without warranty. Unless the item is listed as being sold AS-IS, there is a 3 Day Non-Shooting Inspection Period which starts when the item arrives at your dealer. No shooting, no disassembly. Visual inspection only to confirm correct item and that it matches description in major ways. Minor differences in subjective matters like percent of condition, etc, and personal opinions like ergonomics, fit to your hand or shoulder, etc, do not justify returns. Once you take the item home it is yours and no returns will be allowed. Items listed with AS-IS label are not returnable. We will not issue refunds for unknown mechanical problems. Description:
Here is a very nicely done Springfield 1898 Krag sporter. This rifle is chambered for 30-40 Krag and has had extensive work done to convert it into a sporting rifle with a full length Mannlicher style stock. The side loading door has been removed and replaced with a flat swinging door. It is very well made and works perfectly. The rifle has a very nice Niedner stule buttplate and a receiver peep sight installed. This rifle is an antique as it was made in 1898 according to the ATF which considers all Krags below serial number 152670 as antiques. As such, it can be shipped direct to you with a copy of your ID to prove age and residency. Thanks for looking!
