Winchester Model 1894 SRC Rifle
  • 25-35 caliber (very desirable and difficult to find)
  • 20" round barrel (nickel steel marked)
  • Barrel has traces of blue remaining in recessed areas
  • Bore has good lands and grooves and is bright
  • Saddle ring carbine
  • Action functions well and is tight
  • Forend wood is in very good condition with small amount of handling marks
  • Magazine tube has traces of blue remaining in recessed areas and no apparent dents
  • Replacement rear ladder sight
  • Straight grip butt stock
  • Tight wood to metal fit (original stock)
  • Screws are nice and un burred

  • The .25-35 caliber was developed in 1895 and along with the .30-30 were the two earliest smokeless calibers
  • The 1894 model in .25-35 was favored for deer hunting and other medium game due to its flat trajectory and relatively light recoil
  • Being made in 1927 this rifle falls within the period where Winchester was transitioning to the abbreviated model 94 designation with the shortened name on the tang
