Description: Guns Listing ID: 547599 Probable Danish .71 caliber infantry musket. Overall length is 56". The octagon to round barrel is approximately 41". The smooth bore is fair. The 9?" octagon portion terminates in a wedding band with the remained being round. Metal is bright with areas of gray patina. The stock, with incised cheekpiece, is very good with no cracks or chips. The barrel top flat has a backward “n" followed by “30" and “L.K.E.". The front of the lock has the sink mark “HMK" over a bird. The action functions, but the hammer will release at half-cock (but you’re not going to shoot it anyway). This is a very nice example of what appears to be a Danish Infantry musket.
