Offered is an exceptionally handsome, high-condition custom sniper clone built on a Remington '03 action with a SC four-groove barrel with a razor sharp, near-mint bore. It was apparently assembled as a personal shooter, possibly sometime between 1956 and 1965, based on the vintage of the Weaver K8 60B scope. The El Passo TX production scope is also in very good to near-excellent used condition, with clean, sharp optics and intact cross hairs. The rifle appears to have been assembled with new old stock 03a3 compenents with the exception of the receiver, butt plate, upper band and the pre-WWII butt stock. The action cycles flawlessly with a smooth and positive trigger pull. It has obviously seen little if any use and has been been very well maintained. Although there are no safety or functionality guarrantees on any previously owned firearm, this piece definitely seems to have the potential to be an outstanding shooter or collecter. IMPORTANT: Be advised that safety is the sole responsibility of the buyer and it is strongly recommended that the rifle be checked for safety and proper function by a qualified gunsmith prior to shooting. Note that there is a three day (72 hour), non-firing, no disassembly inspection period that begins when the rifle is delivered to the FFL holder. Please check to make sure that your FFL holder accepts long gun shipments from non FFL holders.
