Sig Sauer P239 – 40S&W – 3.6" Barrel - 7+1 – Great Concealable Combat Pistol
We’re a fan of the Sig P239. These pistols weren’t just carry guns, they were really concealable combat pistols. Off duty law enforcement weapons. Sig Sauer manufactured the P239 from 1996 – 2015. The model was developed in response to demands from law enforcement and federal agents for a compact back-up pistol that would be ideal for off duty concealed carry. The P239 that we have on consignment is chambered in 40 S&W and has a capacity of 7+1. We‚ve function checked the pistol but have not fired it. Function check is correct, magazine and recoil springs are strong. Our pistol wears serial number SA4-77963.
Although these are slim profile, single-stack models, they feel good in the hand while still providing easy concealment. They also have a great reputation for accuracy. With the P239, if the rounds aren’t hitting the “X", it’s normally the shooter that’s at fault, not the pistol.
The barrel is 3.6 inches in length. Magazine capacity is 7+1. This model is double action / single action and has a decocker on the left side of the frame. Night sights are installed but have lost their glow due to age. They do function as normal 3 dot sights. Hogue rubber grips are currently on the pistol.
The bore is clean, the barrel is bright and the rifling appears strong. The frame and slide are in Very Good condition. There is one slight scuff on the left side of the frame, near the muzzle. The grips are in Excellent condition.
If you’re after a vintage Sig that’s small enough to conceal but powerful and reliable enough to be carried by off-duty federal agents, take a good look at this one. It’s in great condition and ready to go!
