NSN, made in 1863,.577 caliber, 39\" round barrel. British military three band musket 3 manufactured by Tower. Metal has a grey and brown patina. Stock has faint Birmingham Small Arms cartouche near butt plate on right hand side. Top tang needs a replacement screw. Wood loss is visible just rear of the of the bolster. Overall good condition. Action holds at half and full cock. This musket is one of the primary arms that the South purchased abroad to supply its soldiers. (AL5850)
