I have a WWII 1911 Remington NM pistols by DCM. From 1955 to 1968, the Director of Civilian Marksmanship (DCM), a predecessor to the CMP, rebuilt and sold National Match M1911A1 pistols. These pistols were upgraded with match-grade components and sold to competitors after the National Matches. The DCM also sold a limited number of these pistols directly to individuals.
This is a first year production (1955) national match series with a second year national match barrel. It has all the correct NM stamps with the first year series numbering 726771NM. Very nice 1911 NM
