SUPERB CONDITION .22 LR SINGLE SHOT, 3RD MODEL "PERFECTED" TARGET PISTOL, #6XXX. This was the final version of these fine adjustable sighted target pistols and easily identified by the double action trigger. Only 6949 were made from 1909-1923 in the serial range of 4617-11641. Overall this fine 10" barrel example retains nearly all of the factory high polish blue with only a spot or two of blue dulling that you'd have to look carefully to find. Beautiful case colored hammer and trigger. Sharp checkered walnut grips with deep-dish S&W medallions. This example has the trigger slightly modified to fire only in the single action mode, very common on these. Tight action and lock up, matching serial numbers and bright exc. bore. Additionally, it comes with a period flap holster thst fits this model correctly and is in excellent condition. One of the best I've seen.
