12 GA Serial # 2146 Westley Richards Bar in Wood Patent 1863 single bite Snap action. circa 1870, 30in. black powder only damascus barrels (pitted), 2 1/2in. chambers, true cyl. in both, action incorporating Joseph Smith patent 3171 of 1863, use number 388, bar-in-wood, non-rebounding locks, border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed finish, 14 1/2in. stock including steel buttplate, weight 6lb. 12oz.Condition.
