12 GA Serial # 23653 Cased Churchill Regal XXV 12 double shotgun with 25" Bbl's factory 2 3/4" chambers with double triggers and ejectors. Choked Mod & IC. Deep blue finished barrels with vividly case colorered Box Lock Ejector reciever with Rose & Scroll engraving with "THE REGAL" monogram on underside. Oil finished Straight English pattern stocks of nicely figured walnut checkered at wrist and splinter forearm The Regal being the improved action with sturdier components and built to withstand rigorous use. Tapered Churchill pattern rib with single sight bead and marked "XXV" in gold at rear. Top of right barrel marked " CHURCHILL (GUNMAKERS) Ltd. Left barrel marked " 61 PALL MALL St JAMES LONDON ENGLAND" Proofed at 2 3/4" 3 1/4 Tons per square inch and .729. Receiver, trigger guard , forearm and barrels are all matching numbers. Checkered wood butt. Cased in original green cotton covered luggage case with partitions and CHURCHILL makers label in lid complete with wiping rod. Condition, Outstanding overall condition with brilliant bores and chambers, 99% blue finish remains on barrels with a trace of edge wear at muzzles Receievr retains 99% vivid case cors with the very botttom edges
