Description:
This Civil War era Colt Police Model was made in 1861 and is inscribed "F. T. Garthwaite = Newark, N. J." It has a good amount of the silver plate on the trigger guard and grip frame. All numbers match and it has strong rifling in the 4 1/2 inch barrel with the minimum of oxidation. This gun is in very good condition and far above average for revolvers of this vintage.
