Description:
Sauer & Sohns 16 gauge boxlock SxS shotgun. Made in 1939 is gun is a “survivor”..all original finishes; bright shiny bores; great screw slots and an intact horn trigger guard.
28 3/8” solid ribbed barrels choked IM/Full. Double triggers, extractor, cocking indicators, automatic safety, sling swivels, cheek piece on the left side for a right handed shooter. Pistol grip stock has a 14 1/8” LOP over an old, added Pachmayr recoil pad with 1 5/8” DAC and 2 ¾” DAH with neutral cast. 6 lbs. 6 oz.
Nice solid gun; on face; double underlugs and a cross bolt insure the guns lockup. This gun has not seen much use but it has been neglected enough that there is a “smattering” of light surface rust in places on the receiver and on the barrels. The wood finish is getting an “orange peel” look to the varnish. But as I said this is great/solid gun that is ideal for pheasants.
