Description:
Model 1900 Krag Bowie Bayonet with original scabbard. Very Good condition with some cleaning and patina. All proper markings, US and 1900, readable on both sides of blade shank. Scabbard has no significant dents and has over 40% original blueing. Looks great on a Model 1898 Krag Springfield rifle! Some 2000-2600 of these were made by Springfiled Armory in 1900 and sent to Cuba and the Phillipines for hard use. They were used as a bayonet, a knife, and an intrenching tool, and they were not great at any of those functions. But they look cool!
