Up for sale is a Marlin 39A lever action rifle chambered in 22 S.L. and L.R.. The serial number, J22464, indicates that it was made in 1952. Barrel measures 23" in length, and metal surfaces retain about 99% original blued finish. No freckling and handling marks are hard to see/find. There is one area, as you can see in the photos, that looks like "paint rubbed on" rather than scratches. This truly is a well-kept Marlin, and I know, for sure, it has been kept in a heated gun cabinet for the last several years.
