SN: 753020. This Third Issue Colt Officers Model Target 38 revolver is circa 1948. The 6\" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. It is equipped with adjustable front and rear sights. The left side of the barrel is marked OFFICERS MODEL TARGET over .38 SPECIAL CTG. The barrel and frame sides have approx. 99% bright blue Colt finish while the top of the frame around through the trigger guard have a dulll non reflective blue finish.The backstrap and trigger are grooved. The hammer has the dull blue finish on the edges and the sides are bright. The checkered brown plastic grips with the Colt logo are excellent with no cracks or chips. The action functions correctly. This is an excellent example of an early post WWII Colt Officers Model Target 38 revolver. (C17659)
