Cased Stephen Grant & Sons 12 bore pair of side lever hammerless ejectors guns with 30” Damascus barrels. Both guns are choked skeet and modified. Length of pull of 14 13/16” to a checkered butt.
Straight English stock, double triggers on a square bar action with 7-pin locks, auto safety, removable striker discs, slightly raised concave rib with a small brass front bead, gold inlaid “SAFE” ahead of the safety catch, drop points, checkered wrist and forend with mullered borders, deeply chiseled fences, Anson push button forend release, and engraved silver ovals on the toe line. Numbers “1” and “2” engraved on the barrels, bottom strap, and forend iron to distinguish the two guns. The guns are housed in a maker’s brass cornered oak and leather case with an outer canvas cover, key, and accessories. These circa 1895 guns were reproofed in London in 1993 with 2 ¾” chambers.
Near complete coverage of small scroll in the classic Grant pattern. Case color hardened action and blued furniture. About 10% of case colors remain. Well figured walnut stock with a ¾” wood extension on both guns. The guns remain in excellent overall condition. The stocks shows some minor scratches. Bluing wear on the trigger guard and the bottom strap of both guns. Excellent bores and the Damascus barrels show excellent pattern and browning. Both guns are on face and the ejectors remain in time.
