For too many years Marlin lever action rifles have been pretty much ignored by custom gunmakers - until now. We have been working at creating a truly custom treatment of the Marlin lever rifles and the result is a beautiful world-class rifle capable of taking any game on Earth - the GRAND AFRICANTM.
This spectacular Marlin 336 is the Prototype Rifle that is the model of more to follow. While it started life as a plain jane Glenfield .30-30, by re-enginnering the receiver and action, it has been transformed into a Magnum Class rifle that is chambered for the powerful .50 Alaskan cartridge. The .50 Alaskan, while unknown to many, is available as loaded ammunition with the power to take on most any game on Earth. Brass is made by Starline and loading dies are available from several makers.
The GRAND AFRICANTM is refitted with a handy 22-inch barrel and wears high grade walnut stocks and high profile Safari-type Express sights for getting on target accurately and quickly.
