Description:
This box lock Ithaca Flues model 16 gauge has 28" long fluid steel barreles choked improved modified left (.018" restriction) and improved cylinder right (.012" restriction) with no rust or pitting inside or out. Cartridge extractors work correctly. Barrels lock up tight, with receiver barrel release lever well to the right of center indicating very little action wear. There is approximately 10% of the case coloring remaining on the receiver and 90% of the blueing on the barrels remaining. Finish is worn thin on the grip area of the trigger guard, with one trigger guard screw showing slight damage from tightening with a wedge type screwdriver. The walnut stock and forend finish is original with a few non significant dents and scrapes from use. No cracks or splits noted. The 16 lpi checkering is in very good condition, with the only notable wear on the carrying balance point on the forend. The original Ithaca butt plate shows some wear and two small chipped spots, but is not cracked.
