Description:
A.H. Fox, Philadelphia CE Grade 12 gauge, 28” Chromox fluid steel Number 2 weight barrels that have been re-blued. Modified and full, 2 5/8” chambers, automatic ejectors, single ivory bead at barrel end, second bead midway down barrels.
Boxlock frame and case has been re-hardened. Engraved pair of woodcock on right side, pair of quail on left side with “Ansley H Fox” engraved above bird pairs on both sides. English setter engraved on bottom, additional scrollwork as well.
Straight stock, beavertail forearm, excellent checkering and wood finish. Pachmayr recoil pad. Serial number 33804 was manufactured in either 1928 or 1929. My father gave this to me for a h.s. graduation present in 1979 and he owned it for decades prior to that.
