Description:
Smith & Wesson model 1917 Commercial version revolver, 45 acp. The Commercial version, compared to the Army version has bright/polished blue metal finish, and checkered/diamond walnut grips with silver medallions. This one also has a butt swivel and 5 1/2" barrel per the attached factory letter.
Made in 1931, making it 94 years old this revolver hardly looks its age! It does have some muzzle wear along with some very minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Perfect bore. Solid as the day it was made!
