Description:
This Model 70 dates to 1946 and features the claw extractor "Mauser" bolt action, "iron" sights, and a mounted vintage Weaver scope. It would be nice to have the history of this rifle as it shows use in the field. Most of the defects are the kind a favorite companion rifle would collect over many years collecting trophies and meat for the table. The manufacture date puts this one in the transitional period where Winchester was making small changes to modernize the Rifleman's Rifle. .30-06 Springfield

Metal Condition: "Good. The blue is largely intact, but there is some wear around the muzzle, the front sight, on the floor plate, and trigger guard. A couple of spots of rust on the barrel.
Wood Condition: "Good. The checkering is flattened a bit, and there is a large number of scratches and scrape. One chip out of the wood above the floor plate hinge on the left side.
Bore Condition: "Bore is shiny, and the rifling is okay.
