"NSN, manufactured circa 1837–1847, chambered in .704 caliber with a 30" round two-groove barrel. The metal surfaces exhibit a mottled brown/grey patina with areas of light surface oxidation. Brass furniture has been polished. The stock displays expected handling and storage wear consistent with its age and service, but remains structurally sound. The lock functions properly, holding securely at both half and full cock. Included with the musket is a bayonet,
