The Ruger Mark III Target 60th Anniversary Edition is a limited-edition model of the Ruger Mark III pistol, designed to commemorate the company's 60th anniversary. It builds upon the existing Mark III Target features, adding a special commemorative design and potentially other upgrades. The Mark III Target is designed for target shooting and uses the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. The Target model features adjustable rear sights, allowing for precise adjustments for aiming. The Target model includes a heavy barrel for increased stability and accuracy. The Mark III Target features checkered wood grips that resemble those of the Colt 1911 pistol. The Mark III series, including the Target model, includes a loaded chamber indicator to help shooters determine if there is a round chambered. The Mark III has a magazine disconnect safety, which prevents the pistol from firing if the magazine is removed.
