The Parker shotguns were marketed to American "gentry," ie gentleman farmers, industrialists, doctors, and lawyers. As such they were the "best guns" of America. Most of them were purchased by people who hunted with them and this one is no exception to the rule. It shows use. That being said, it locks up to the face well, has a shiny bore, and nice blue (redone). The receiver retains a significant amount of the case color. 12 Gauge
