This listing is for my Smith & Wesson 44 Magnum Model 629-2 Pre-lock revolver with 3-inch barrel. It has a white outline rear sight and red ramp front sight. The serial number is BBN-30xx, which should put manufacture in the early 1990’s as best I can find out. The revolver is in excellent condition with an excellent bore. It functions properly and has no negatives. It is very manageable with both 44 Magnum and 44 Special loads. I found this one with the scarce 3-inch barrel and liked the look and feel of it much better than the one I previously had with the 8 3/8 inch barrel. I have owned this particular 629 since 2018 and have probably shot 10-15 boxes of ammo through it, mostly 44 Special. The revolver comes with two HKS speedloaders. The revolver will be shipped in a blue S&W plastic box, but the box is not original to this revolver.
The only reason I am selling it is because I am 77 years old and have arthritis in my hands. I can still shoot this one okay, but I find it easier and more comfortable to shoot my Model 66, so the 629 is spending more and more time in the gun safe.
