Springfield Model 1864 Civil War Musket 58 cal Bore Exc , Mech Exc, Wood Exc with 2 cartouche,and excellent contours sharp edges around the plate. has a couple initials KS or KM in the wood at the end of the trigger plate area. Has an original 40” Rd barrel with original sights and Excellent markings has date 1864 on top and the proofs VP and eagle head also has a B marking on the left side of the bbl below the proof markings also has an excellent eagle marking on the bolster. Has Original 3 barrel bands , sling swivels, ramrod and an original leather sling. The buttplate has the US marking. Metal overall has no pitting and is in the white as they were when issued. Very exceptional musket in high grade condition
