Description: Guns Listing ID: 554645 The 325 was the lowest-priced, American-made new center-fire rifle at the time. With the 325, Stevens made use of manufacturing methods such as stamped parts to reduce costs and labor required versus the older models. No one seems to know the number of Stevens 325 rifles made. They were not serial numbered, and accurate records are scattered at best. Beginning in 1950, Savage made some minor changes and started marketing the rifle as the Savage 340. The most obvious change was the bolt handle, changed to a more conventional appearance with a grasping ball. Initially chambered in .22 Hornet and .30-30, Savage later added the .222 Rem., .223 Rem., and .225 Win. Price: $339.99 Manufacturer: J STEVENS A&T CO.
