"Serial No. 189755, manufactured in 1910 by Rock Island Arsenal, .30-06, 24" round barrel marked “RIA / Flaming Bomb / 3-11". Rifle is in very good condition and was arsenal upgraded for WWII service. The right side of the stock bears a “C-SAA" cartouche (San Antonio Arsenal) with light impression marks visible. Includes a leather period sling and an original RIA 16" Model 1905 bayonet, marked “RIA / Flaming Bomb / 1910" on one ricasso and “U.S. / 177931" on the reverse. Light surface oxidation is present on the cross guard and scabbard. Action is smooth and functions correctly A well-preserved example of a pre-WWI Rock Island M1903, later updated for continued wartime service.
