"Serial No. 00V1599, manufactured circa 1938 by Izhevsk Arsenal, 7.62x54R, 29" round barrel. Serial numbers are force-matched, a common practice during refurbishments. The left side of the receiver is marked with the boxed “SA" stamp, indicating Finnish capture and ownership. Right side of the barrel bears standard import markings. Stock shows expected handling and usage wear, with “VT" carved into the right side of the buttstock—likely a Finnish unit or soldier marking. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
