32472- ORIGINAL COLT U.S. PRE-1ST. MODEL FLUCK WALKER-REPLACEMENT DRAGOON REVOLVER. Six shot .44 cal. with 7 ½” barrel with Colt address. All matching serial numbers in the 27xx range with exception of loading leaver which is a close serial in the 2xx range and altered from a Colt Walker lever typical of parts seen on these pre 1st. Model Flucks. Wedge from a 3xxx serial range Dragoon. Only 1000 made and all in the 2000-3000 range succeeding the Walker serial range.100% original and correct and very rare with only 1000 made for the U.S. Govt. as a second contract succeeding the Walker model and preceding the 1st Model Dragoon with noticeable major difference being the “COLTS/PATENT/US” stamp in the center of the frame instead of the forward end of the frame. Still retains the Colt Walker tiny serial number stamps. Extra nice with all the original untouched patina. Excellent markings and traces of cylinder scene. Excellent grips with partially visible cartouche on the right flat. Working order and excellent bore. $18,500.
