The sidelock action is equipped with a single non-selective trigger, non-automatic safety, and timed ejectors, delivering the reliability and precision demanded by serious clay and field shooters. It weighs 8 lbs 8 oz, with dimensions of 1.25" drop at comb, 1.75" drop at heel, and a 14.25" length of pull to a maroon Beretta vent recoil pad.
The coin-finished action carries light border engraving with subtle scroll motifs, complementing the clean, competition-focused aesthetic. Bluing on the barrels is exceptional, retaining about 98% of the original finish. Deluxe walnut is used for the stock and forend, with a high comb, right-handed palm swell, and sharp checkering on both the pistol grip and forend—providing a secure, comfortable hold for precision shooting.
Condition is very good overall, showing only faint wear consistent with age and light use. The bores are clear, the trigger breaks cleanly, ejectors are strong and perfectly timed, and the action closes smoothly with a tight lock-up. This is a beautifully balanced, finely built example of Beretta’s SO-series, representing both the elegance and performance that have made it a fixture in the competition shooting world.
