One of the 200 rifles picked from existing inventory of Remington and Smith-Corona WW2 rifles in the best condition at Springfield Armory in the 1950 for distribution to rifle teams since the 1903A1 stocks had been depleted. Redfield Olympic rear sight, bolt reworked, unmarked C stock, serrated butt plate added. Excellent to near mint overall original 1943 rifle with the added correct features (See Brophy: THE SPRINGFIELD 1903 RIFLES, pages 205-206). Perfect bore. All matching including the wood. Perfect working order. $4500.
