Description:
This gun just came in out of a local estate here on the Gold Coast of Long Island. Sidelocks and receiver have a fair amount of original case colors. The engraving is still sharp. Barrels retain 85% original blue overall with some light old surface rust. All markings are clear. Excellent bores are bright and shiny. 28 3/4 inch steel barrels. Right barrel is MOD, the left barrel is FULL. Ejectors work well. Straight grip English style stock has some handling marks with good checkering. The wood has an extra coat of varnish on it unfortunately. There looks like there was probably a sling swivel screwed into the butt that has been filled in, and the monograme plate has been replaced with a piece of wood. 13 1/4 inches of wood, the recoil pad is missing, however the screws are still present. Drop at the comb is 1 1/4, at the heel is 2 1/8. Roughly 7 pounds. Nitro proofed. Serial number is 102222
