This is a 1931-made, M1911A1 spec pistol that has retained 70-75% of the original blue with gray fading along the edges and projections, and a plum-brown patina on the balance with even freckling throughout. The barrel is marked "COLT 45 AUTO" on the left side of the barrel breech with "P" on the left side of the lug. The checkered walnut grips are in good shape with moderate wear and flattening of the points on either side, heaviest around the butt, as well as two small chips on the left panel. A later blued and unmarked magazine is included. This is a very good pre-WW2 Government Model Colt, and would make a nice addition to a collection. FFL or C&R; Price: $2,795.00 Curio/Relic: Yes |
