Description:
UPDATE  9/12/2025 . . Price Lowered.  The "marks" that I have pictured in the stock are greatly magnified.  They hardly show up in "Real Life."  This is a new rifle, complete with accessories.  Basically. it is a 99% gun.  I cleaned the wood with "Howard's Feed N Wax," which is very similar to the formula Purdey's uses.  All gun owners with wooden stocked guns should have this in their Gun Maintenance equipment.  It cleans and polishes wood without doing any harm to the original finish.

Please note . . . everything pictured comes with the gun.  Look at all the pictures.

Shipping on all items is extra.

For sale is a new CZ 455 American 17 HMR with the Turkish Walnut Stock and 20.5" Standard Sporter Contour Barrel.
I bought the gun new (there was no box) but have never used it.

The rifle had a couple tiny marks in the butt end of the stock (see pictures).  Additional, there was a slight crack/chip in the wood near the top of the tang, where it appeared someone had dropped the gun.  I took the rifle to a professional stockmaker/refinisher and he took the rifle apart, reglued the small piece of wood back in place, and then added a little finish to the piece (see picture).  There are a couple of tiny marks on the bottom of the forearm, buttstock.  The camera magnification makes them out to be much worse than they are, but everything is pictured.  The rest of the gun simply looks excellent (as it should for being a new rifle).

I originally had the intent of using the gun.  These 455 Americans, as far as I am concerned, where the best looking Model of any gun that CZ made.  They resemble an "Old Fashioned" American Classic Rifle.  With that in mind, I went out and spent $80 for a set of Leupold 11m/m Rings for the gun.  I thought that they were the best looking rings available for this Model, far nicer than any other seI of rings available.  I also have a box of 17HMR ammunition for the gun.  These items go with the gun.  The buyer will have to pay for the shipping for all items.

The fit and finish of the 455 American with the Turkish Walnut Stock and the fitted buttplate is perfect.  I don't like the looks of the recoil pads that you see on some guns.  They just look "Cheap" to me.

In addition to getting older, I also am a fan of the "Old Fashioned" look.  When I was young, most of the scopes that you saw were Gloss Finished Fixed Power Scopes.  I personally think something like that would look great on a gun like this.

With the slightly less than 21" barrel, this light gun would be a delight to carry and easy to get "On Target."

Look at the pictures carefully.

I will have to have an FFL to sell the gun to.  I will include a copy of my Ohio's Driver's License.

Any questions . . . call or email me.

Thank you.
