Brand new Rigby Highland Stalker Magnum, chambered for .300 Winchester Magnum, with 24" barrel and stunning grade 7 wood! Made in the spirit of prewar stalking rifles built by J. Rigby & Co on Mauser Original 98 actions which literally set the form of the modern bolt action hunting rifle. The Highland Stalker is simply the latest iteration of that proven lineage, using current production Mauser Original 98 actions proofed and stocked in London. Receiver is factory drilled and tapped for scope mounts, the most popular being the factory Hexalock quick-detach and the optional upgraded EAW swing-off style (either is available from Gordy & Sons).

The trigger is a modern style steel unit exhibiting a very crisp pull averaging 3.5 lbs. The safety is a svelte Winchester 70-style 3-position for perfect scope clearance. The cold hammer forged barrel bears island mounted express sights, one standing leaf and two folding leaves at rear with beaded blade at front protected by a traditional hood. Barrel band front sling mount and matching mount on toe line of stock accommodate a traditional 1” leather sling in the style of its big brother, the Rigby Big Game. Magazine floorplate opens with a traditional trigger guard-mounted Oberndorf release. Trigger guard bears serial number per tradition. The stock is closely modeled after original prewar Rigby sporters, and is a faithful rendition thereof. The recoil pad is traditionally red with Silvers-style rubber construction.
